Craft Workshop: Arm-Knitting Sunday, November 4th at 1:30pm at the Waukee Public Library Knit a fast and easy cowl or infinity scarf with chunky yarn and your arms as knitting needles! The Heartland Fiber Co. posse will teach you how to cast on, knit, and bind off. By the end you will have a loosely knitted scarf or cowl that drapes beautifully and is perfect for fall weather. Chunky knit yarn in a variety of color choices will be offered and no previous knitting experience is necessary. Cost for supplies is $15 per person.

Nordic sweaters are all the rage in knitting right now- with this class you will learn the skills needed to knit the colorwork yoke and still have the simplicity of a poncho. You can choose to knit the adult size or for a quicker project the child size Boden poncho. This is a purchase pattern on Ravelry that you can buy and print at Heartland Fiber Co. We'll be knitting with worsted weight Shepherd's Wool from Stonehedge Fiber Mill in Michigan which is a super soft spun fine wool. This class is set for two Saturdays, if needed. Come with a sense of adventure and a sense of humor- this is a tricky skill and it takes time, but you can do it!
