The Des Moines Knitting Guild will be on hand to wind purchased yarn, give lessons or knitting advice.
The Des Moines Weavers and Spinners will be there to demonstrate and field questions.

Classes

Beginner Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom - instructor Deb Lundy  9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Learn the parts of a Rigid Heddle Loom, terminology, how to warp, weave and finish your project.  $40 includes all materials, use of loom and informative handouts.  Limit of 6.

Continental Knitting - instructor:  Randall Parkin  10:00-11:00 a.m.
Back every year, this class takes you from 'throwing' to 'picking'.  Knit faster and more efficiently.  $10.  Bring your needles & yarn. Limit of 6.

Spinning a Stable Single - instructor:  Kandys Bleil  1:30-3:00 p.m.
Learn to spin single strand yarn without over or under twisting.  This class will teach you that there is a fail-proof method to produce a stable yarn every time.  $25 includes all needed materials and written resource handout.  Bring your spinning wheel and a niddy noddy.  Students who come unprepared to spin may also attend and learn the techniques involved.  Limit of 8.

Beginning Crochet - instructor:  Cami Edwards  1:30-3:00 p.m.
Because you've always wanted to learn!  Even if you are a knitter many patterns call for a crochet cast on or finished edge.  Learn the basics here.  $25 includes materials.  Limit of 6.
